Vigilis Bio Mesh Guard

The Vigilis Bio Mesh Guard is a next-generation soil-biodegradable mesh tree shelter developed for forestry, woodland creation, tree planting contractors, landowners, farmers and grant-funded planting schemes. Manufactured from patented 100% soil-biodegradable material, it provides reliable protection against browsing and bark stripping during the critical establishment period, then breaks down naturally in the soil at the end of its functional life. There is no microplastic residue, no retrieval labour and no landfill disposal, making it an ideal solution for remote and large-scale planting projects where collecting traditional tree guards is costly or impractical.

The open mesh design allows maximum airflow and light transmission, encouraging stronger, more wind-firm trees with healthier stem development than many enclosed plastic shelters. The 130mm diameter provides generous growing space, while reinforced selvedge edges improve strength, rigidity and protection against stem abrasion. Available in heights from 0.60m to 1.80m, Vigilis Bio Mesh Guards can be matched to the browsing pressure on site, from rabbits and hares through to roe, fallow, red and sika deer.
