Wire Gauge Guide

Wire gauge indicates the diameter or thickness of the wire. The higher the gauge number, the thinner the wire.

Hole Size Guide

The 13mm x 13mm aperture provides a fine mesh opening, making it useful for smaller animal enclosures, cages and applications where smaller gaps are required.

The 25mm x 13mm aperture provides a slightly larger opening while retaining a narrow dimension for effective containment and protection, making it suitable for applications such as rabbit runs, chicken projects, garden fencing and crop protection.

Galvanised & PVC Coating

The steel wire is galvanised with a protective zinc coating before being PVC coated. The galvanised layer helps protect the steel against corrosion, while the green PVC coating provides an additional barrier against the elements and creates a smoother, more attractive finish.

The PVC coating also helps cover potentially sharp areas of the wire, making the mesh more suitable for use around animals, pets and in garden environments.

When the mesh is cut, the newly exposed steel may be more susceptible to corrosion. For enhanced long-term protection, protect cut ends with galvanising spray or suitable metal paint after cutting.
