Wire Gauge Guide

Wire gauge refers to the diameter or thickness of the wire. The higher the gauge number, the thinner the wire.

50mm x 50mm Aperture

The 50mm x 50mm (2" x 2") aperture provides a larger mesh opening while maintaining the strength and rigidity of the welded construction. It is particularly suitable for dog fencing, larger animal enclosures, security fencing, garden fencing and general-purpose outdoor applications.

Galvanised & PVC Coating

The steel wire is protected with a galvanised zinc coating before being finished with green PVC. The galvanised coating helps protect the steel against corrosion, while the PVC coating provides an additional protective layer against moisture and outdoor conditions.

The PVC coating also provides a smoother finish around the wire, making the mesh more suitable for use around animals and in garden environments. The green colour helps the fencing blend naturally into lawns, planting areas, allotments and other outdoor spaces.

When the mesh is cut, newly exposed steel at the cut edge may be more vulnerable to corrosion. For enhanced long-term protection, protect cut ends with galvanising spray or suitable metal paint after cutting.
