Picea Abies - Norway Spruce

Picea abies, commonly known as Norway Spruce, is native to northern Europe and is perhaps best known as the classic Christmas tree. Fast-growing and versatile, it is widely used for commercial forestry, timber production, shelterbelts, and ornamental planting.

Its attractive pyramidal shape when young gradually becomes more columnar with age, and it produces numerous large slender cones. The Norway Spruce is hardy, tolerant of a wide range of conditions, and has significant ecological and commercial value.

The Norway Spruce is not normally pruned. Remove any damaged or diseased branches if required.
