The wire thickness varies according to the aperture selected. The 25mm mesh is manufactured from 22 gauge (approximately 0.7mm) wire, while the 50mm mesh is manufactured from heavier 20 gauge (approximately 0.9mm) wire. This gives customers the choice of a lighter 25mm mesh or a stronger, heavier 50mm option depending on the intended application.

Flexible Hexagonal Mesh

The hexagonal mesh design provides a useful combination of flexibility and stability, allowing the wire to be shaped around posts, frames, trees and other structures. This makes it particularly useful for creating animal enclosures, fruit cages, tree guards and garden protection.

Please Note

The wire is galvanised before twisting. When the mesh is cut, exposed wire ends may be susceptible to surface rust where the protective coating has been removed. For demanding or long-term outdoor installations, cut ends can be protected using a suitable galvanising spray or paint.
