Created by John Chambers Wildflowers and supplied through Green-tech, this native enriched turf combines approximately 33 UK native wildflowers with 20+ naturalised annual and perennial species, resulting in an impressive 80% flower content and a vibrant, meadow-style finish.

Designed to create a softer, more ornamental “cottage garden” look and feel, this turf naturalises over time while continuing to deliver strong visual impact year after year. Flowering from March through to October, it provides long-lasting colour while supporting pollinators, beneficial insects, and wider biodiversity. The mixture has been carefully selected to perform across a range of soil types and conditions, offering both shade and drought tolerance once established.

Installation Guidance

Successful establishment begins with good ground preparation. Remove all existing vegetation and lightly cultivate the soil to create a level, weed-free surface. Lay the turf immediately upon delivery, ensuring each roll is butted tightly against the next with no overlaps or gaps. Firm the turf down to ensure strong root-to-soil contact and water thoroughly after laying.

Watering & Establishment

Water regularly during the first two weeks after installation, particularly during dry weather, to prevent the turf from drying out. Once established, watering is only required during prolonged dry periods. Avoid heavy foot traffic during the early establishment phase.

Maintenance

Wildflower Ornamental Matting Turf is designed to be low maintenance, requiring just one to two cuts per year. Perform a main cut at the end of the flowering season and remove all cuttings to prevent nutrient build-up and encourage continued flowering diversity. Monitor for invasive or dominant species and remove as required to maintain balance and colour.

Delivery & Cancellation Information

This turf is a living, perishable product and is cut fresh to order. Turf must be laid within 24–48 hours of delivery to maintain quality and viability. Cancellations can only be accepted before cutting or dispatch. Once cutting has commenced or goods are in transit, the full order value will be charged.
