Installation, Watering & Maintenance Overview

Ensure the roof structure and substrate are fully prepared prior to installation. The growing medium should be level, weed-free, and suitable for green roof use. Lay the turf immediately upon delivery, butting rolls tightly together without overlaps or gaps. Press gently into place to ensure good contact with the substrate.

Water lightly after installation to aid establishment, particularly during dry or windy conditions. Once established, the turf requires minimal irrigation and will tolerate variable rooftop moisture levels.

Maintenance is minimal. Carry out one annual cut at the end of the growing season, removing all arisings to prevent nutrient build-up. Avoid heavy foot traffic until plants are fully established and periodically monitor for invasive or undesirable species.

Delivery Information

Wildflower Green Roof Matting Turf is a living, perishable product and is cut fresh to order directly from the grower.

Delivery can take up to 15 working days, subject to stock availability

Live stock levels may vary due to growing cycles and weather conditions

On-Site Storage & Handling

If immediate installation is not possible:

Unstack pallets immediately on delivery to allow airflow

Store turf in a cool, shaded area away from direct sunlight

Do not water turf while rolled

In warm weather, lay turf on the day of delivery wherever possible

In cooler conditions, turf may be stored for up to 48 hours

If delays are unavoidable, unroll turf in strips to allow it to breathe

Failure to follow these guidelines may result in deterioration or failure to establish and is not covered by guarantee.

Cancellation Policy – Turf & Wildflower Matting Products

All turf and wildflower matting products are cut fresh to order and classed as perishable goods.

Cancellations must be made as soon as possible after placing an order

Orders can only be cancelled if the turf has not yet been cut or prepared for dispatch

Once cutting has begun or goods are in transit, cancellation or refusal of delivery will result in the full order value being charged

Turf must be laid within 24–48 hours of delivery to maintain quality and viability
