The AB9 / AHL2 / CAHL2 Two Year Wild Bird Mix – Plus Sunflowers is a spring-sown wild bird seed mixture designed to establish a longer-lasting annual crop area for smaller farmland birds, including Grey Partridge and Tree Sparrows. The mixture combines Spring Triticale, Sunflower, Quinoa, Oil Radish, Kale x Rape and Red/White Millet to provide a diverse crop area that grows and flowers through spring and summer, while providing food resources for farmland birds and supporting pollinators.

The mixture contains six small seed-bearing crops across cereal, brassica and other crop types. Sunflower provides a prominent flowering element, while Spring Triticale forms the main cereal component alongside Quinoa and Red/White Millet. Oil Radish and Kale x Rape add brassica species to the mixture, creating a diverse two-year wild bird crop. The stated flowering period is June to September, with the crop reaching approximately 50–200cm in height.

Sow in spring by drilling into blocks or strips at a rate of 20kg per acre. A 20kg pack covers approximately 1 acre at the recommended sowing rate. The mixture is intended to provide seasonal food and habitat resources as part of an appropriate farmland environmental management system and can support an integrated pest management approach.
