Calcareous soils often present challenges due to high alkalinity, but this mix has been carefully formulated to favour species with proven success in such conditions—ideal for long-term biodiversity gains and pollinator support.

Main species in the mix include: Selfheal, Dropwort, Common Vetch, Wild Carrot, Bird’s-foot-trefoil, and Common Poppy. The full mix may contain even more native species, all selected for their compatibility with free-draining, alkaline environments.
