The Pollen and Nectar Flower Mix is a grass-free flowering seed mixture designed to establish pollen and nectar-rich areas in blocks or strips. Suitable for environmental land management, the mixture provides a range of flowering legumes and herbs intended to provide food for beneficial pollinators and encourage natural crop pest predators. It is suitable for the Countryside Stewardship AB1 Pollen and Nectar Flower Mix option and SFI AHL1 and CAHL1 requirements, subject to the applicable scheme rules.

The mixture contains ten legumes and four herbs/wildflowers, with a diverse combination of Spring Vetch, Red Clover, Lucerne, Crimson Clover, Berseem Clover, Sainfoin, Yellow Trefoil, Birdsfoot Trefoil, Sweet Yellow Berseem Clover and Alsike Clover, alongside Oxeye Daisy, Yarrow, Wild Carrot and Knapweed. The mixture flowers from approximately May to September, providing a succession of flowering species throughout the main season.

Sow at 5kg per acre in early spring, establishing the mixture in blocks or strips as appropriate for the intended environmental area. The 20kg pack provides approximately 4 acres of coverage at the recommended sowing rate. Always check the current requirements of the relevant SFI or Countryside Stewardship action before sowing to ensure the mixture, location and management meet the requirements of your agreement.
