Grassy Field Corners & Blocks 20kg – AHL3 / AHL4 / AB3 / SW4

The Grassy Field Corners & Blocks Seed Mix is a specialist, ryegrass-free grass seed mixture designed to establish an intact grass sward in field corners, blocks and other areas managed for farmland wildlife. The mixture is composed entirely of perennial grasses, combining Creeping Red Fescue, Tall Fescue, Chewings Fescue, Cocksfoot and Slender Red Fescue to provide dense ground cover throughout the year.

The mixture is designed for areas where maintaining grass cover can provide habitat for farmland wildlife while avoiding the vehicle tracks, poaching and soil compaction associated with regular access. The combination of tussock-forming and fine-leaved fescue species provides a diverse grass sward, with a stated height of approximately 30–60cm and flowering period from May to August.

Sow directly into a prepared seedbed at 10kg per acre, broadcasting between March and September. The 20kg pack covers approximately 2 acres at the recommended sowing rate. The mixture is suitable for establishing specialist grassy areas where the applicable environmental land management action requires an appropriate grass sward.
