Feather Edge Board – Green Treated

Green Pressure Treated Feather Edge Boards are a popular timber fencing solution for creating traditional closeboard fencing. Designed to be fixed to arris rails, the boards are installed with an overlap to create a strong, attractive and private fence panel. Their lightweight construction makes them easy to handle, cut and install, making them suitable for both professional fencing projects and DIY garden fencing.

Each feather edge board is produced from an original 125mm x 22mm timber board, which is cut diagonally to create two tapered feather edge boards. This produces a thick edge of approximately 15mm, tapering down to approximately 6mm at the thinner edge. This is why the product is described as 2ex, indicating that two feather edge boards are produced from the original 22mm thick board.

Manufactured from a pine/spruce mix and pressure treated for improved durability, these rough-sawn boards are designed for exterior fencing applications. With six available lengths from 0.9m to 2.4m, they provide plenty of flexibility for different fence heights, garden boundaries and repair projects. The green treated timber will naturally weather to a silvery-grey colour over time; applying a suitable stain or preservative annually can help maintain the original green appearance.
