Cant Rail Green Treated

Green Pressure Treated Cant Rail is a purpose-designed timber fencing component commonly used with feather edge boards to create strong, traditional closeboard fencing. Each cant rail features a sloped profile that encourages rainwater to run off the timber rather than collect on the surface, helping to protect the fencing panel and supporting a longer-lasting exterior installation. Available in 3.0m and 3.6m lengths, these rails provide flexibility for a wide range of fencing projects.

Made from spruce timber and pressure treated for exterior use, the cant rail has a rough-sawn finish that is well suited to practical fencing construction. The distinctive sloped profile is produced by cutting a 125mm x 47mm board diagonally, creating two cant rails from one original board. This produces a thicker end of approximately 70mm, tapering to approximately 50mm at the thinner end. The product is therefore listed as 2ex, indicating the two rails produced from the original 47mm x 125mm timber section.

The green pressure-treated finish provides a traditional appearance for garden and boundary fencing and is suitable for professional fencing contractors, landscapers and DIY projects. Like natural timber, the green colour will gradually weather to a natural grey over time. To help maintain the original colour, we recommend applying a suitable wood stain or timber preservative annually, in accordance with the product manufacturer's guidance.
