Ecomatt Wool Mulch Mats are a fully biodegradable, chemical-free solution for natural weed suppression around newly planted trees, shrubs, and hedgerows. Designed to support plant establishment, these mats are made from 100% ethically sourced wool on a natural fiber backing, providing a strong, durable, and environmentally responsible alternative to synthetic weed mats. By creating a weed barrier around the root zone, Ecomatt Wool reduces competition for nutrients and water, retains soil moisture, and insulates roots to promote faster, healthier growth.

Manufactured in the UK from natural, sustainable materials, these mats are free from synthetic products, making them ideal for forestry, landscaping, land restoration, and urban green infrastructure projects. The mats are pre-slit to the centre for easy installation around stems and can be secured with pegs or steel pins to prevent movement, even on slopes or exposed sites. Over time, the mats biodegrade naturally in situ, returning nutrients to the soil and eliminating the need for removal or chemical weed control.
