Transform any flat or gently sloping roof into a thriving, low-maintenance green space with our Sedum Green Roof Trays, also known as Sedum cassettes. Designed specifically for extensive green roof installations, these ready-to-install trays provide an all-in-one system that combines a drainage layer, filter layer, lightweight substrate, and mature sedum vegetation into a single, easy-to-lay cassette. Sold per Tray.
Each tray contains a diverse mix of at least eight drought-tolerant sedum species, pre-grown for immediate coverage and visual impact. The well-rooted sedum plants are low-growing and resilient, making them perfectly suited for the exposed, challenging conditions typical of rooftops. Their adaptability and low nutrient requirements mean these trays need minimal maintenance, while offering outstanding environmental benefits such as increased biodiversity, rainwater attenuation, thermal insulation, and aesthetic value.
Installation is quick and simple—just lay the trays in your desired configuration, no specialist tools or materials required. Thanks to the modular design, trays interlock cleanly and can be used to cover anything from a small garden shed or house roof to full-scale commercial buildings, warehouses, or offices.
These sedum cassettes are an ideal solution for green roof contractors, landscapers, builders, urban designers, and council planners looking to meet Biodiversity Net Gain, SuDS, and urban greening requirements. Suitable for both new builds and retrofit projects, they offer a sustainable and attractive solution to increase green space in urban environments.

Delivery and Handling Information
Your sedum roof trays will be delivered on pallets, securely stacked and wrapped for protection during transit. Delivery is made by HGV and is kerbside only.
Access Requirements
It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure the delivery location is suitable for an HGV. This includes:
A flat, level, and hard-standing surface suitable for pallet offloading
Sufficient turning space for a large vehicle near the delivery point
Clear access without obstructions or weight restrictions
Domestic Deliveries
For residential addresses, a tail-lift vehicle will be used where possible. However, tail-lift offloading cannot be guaranteed for all locations. In some cases, manual unloading (“handballing”) or use of on-site machinery (e.g., forklift or telehandler) may be required.
Handling & Care Instructions
Sedum roof trays are a living product and must be installed within 48 hours of delivery to maintain quality:
Install Immediately: Trays should be installed as soon as possible. Delays may impact plant health.
If Installation is Delayed: The pallet must be unstacked and trays laid out flat in a shaded, well-ventilated area within 12 hours of delivery. This prevents overheating, stress, or plant damage.
Keep Pallets Flat: Do not tip or stack pallets unevenly. Keep trays level to avoid substrate displacement or cracking.
Short-Term Storage: Do not cover or leave trays in direct sunlight.
Water Lightly: If storage exceeds 24 hours before installation, mist the trays lightly with water—do not soak. Ensure good drainage.
Careful Handling: Lift trays from the base to prevent cracking or damaging the sedum plants. Two people may be required depending on tray size and weight.
Important Notes
Sedum is delicate in extreme heat—deliveries during warm periods should be installed without delay.
