MOT Type 3 800kg Bulk Bag

MOT Type 3 800kg Bulk Bag is a permeable, angular aggregate designed for use as a stable sub-base where effective drainage and water permeability are required. It is commonly used beneath driveways, car parks, paths and other construction surfaces, particularly where a project needs to incorporate SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) principles. MOT Type 3 provides firm support beneath the finished surface while allowing water to pass through the sub-base.

The highly angular particles of MOT Type 3 lock and key together when compacted, helping create a strong and generally even surface capable of supporting pedestrian and vehicle traffic. It is particularly well suited as a sub-base for permeable paving grids, providing a robust foundation beneath the wearing surface while maintaining the permeability required for effective surface water management.

MOT Type 3 is a versatile aggregate for both landscaping and construction. It can be used beneath driveways, car parks, paths, equestrian arenas and sports pitches, as well as for general construction filling. It can also be used for tree root protection systems with a suitable Geocell. Supplied in an 800kg bulk bag (nominal weight), one bag covers approximately 6m² at 100mm deep. The aggregate is typically white to grey, with natural variation in colour due to its blended composition.
