MOT Type 1 800kg Bulk Bag

MOT Type 1 800kg Bulk Bag is a versatile and cost-effective aggregate widely used as a sub-base material for driveways, paths, patios, garden buildings and other construction projects. Made from angular limestone, MOT Type 1 provides a strong, stable foundation beneath the finished surface, helping to prevent the wearing course from buckling, sinking or deforming over time.

The highly angular particles of MOT Type 1 lock and key together when compacted, creating a firm and generally even surface suitable for supporting subsequent layers. It is also a practical option for temporary roadways, access routes and paths, providing a cost-effective base that can withstand regular pedestrian and vehicle traffic without becoming excessively compacted.

Supplied in an 800kg bulk bag (nominal weight), each bag contains approximately 600 litres (0.6m³) before compaction. Once compacted, this typically provides approximately 0.4m³ of material. One bulk bag will cover approximately 8m² at a 50mm depth, although actual coverage will depend on ground conditions, installation depth and compaction. MOT Type 1 has a natural white to grey colour, with slight variation possible as it is a blended aggregate.
