How to Install Hallstone Turf

1. Prepare the Ground

Remove weeds, stones and debris before cultivating the soil to a depth of approximately 100-150mm.

2. Improve the Soil

Incorporate suitable topsoil or soil improver where necessary and rake to a fine, level finish.

3. Firm & Level

Lightly tread or roll the area before carrying out a final rake.

4. Lay the Turf

Lay the turf immediately after delivery where possible. Butt all edges tightly together and stagger joints in a brickwork pattern.

5. Water Thoroughly

Water immediately after installation to ensure moisture reaches both the turf and underlying soil.

6. Establishment

Keep the turf consistently moist during the establishment period and avoid excessive traffic until fully rooted.

Important Pallet Delivery Notice

This product is supplied as a fresh-cut, living turf product and is delivered on a pallet via a kerbside pallet delivery service.

Please ensure:

• Suitable access is available for a pallet delivery vehicle.

• Someone is present to receive and inspect the delivery.

• The delivery location is hard, level ground suitable for pallet truck access.

• Pallet trucks cannot travel across gravel, grass, soft surfaces, steps or steep inclines.

• Delivery will be made to the nearest safe and accessible location at the driver's discretion.

Handling & Storage Instructions

As this is a living, perishable product, correct handling is essential.

• Unload turf immediately upon delivery.

• Remove turf from the pallet as soon as possible.

• Do not leave turf stacked for extended periods.

• Store temporarily in a cool, shaded area if necessary.

• Do not allow turf to overheat or dry out.

• Lay immediately during spring and summer conditions.

• Lay within 24 hours during autumn and winter conditions.

• Delays in installation may affect turf quality and successful establishment.

Cancellation & Returns Policy

Important Information for Turf Orders

Hallstone Turf is a fresh-cut, living product prepared to order.

Because of its perishable nature:

• Orders should only be placed when the installation area is fully prepared.

• Cancellation requests must be made immediately after ordering.

• Once harvesting has been scheduled or commenced, cancellations cannot be accepted.

• Orders that have been cut, dispatched or are already in transit cannot be cancelled.

• Refused deliveries will be charged in full.

• Returns are not accepted on turf products.

• Delivery dates should be agreed at the time of ordering to ensure site readiness.

These conditions are necessary due to the perishable nature of fresh turf products and the exclusions applicable to goods liable to deteriorate rapidly.
