GT Turf Reinforcement Mesh TR3 is a 430gsm permanent grass reinforcement mesh designed to protect lawns and grassed areas from wear, rutting and mud caused by pedestrians, bicycles, dogs and other regular traffic. Manufactured from extruded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) containing recycled plastic, TR3 works by allowing grass swards and roots to grow through and intertwine with the mesh filaments. How TR3 Works

TR3 works by allowing the grass swards and roots to grow through and intertwine with the mesh filaments. This creates a strong entanglement between the grass and reinforcement mesh, helping spread traffic loads more evenly across the surface.

The reinforced grass provides additional strength and footprint at the top of the surface, helping reduce abrasion and protecting the grass root structure. As the lawn grows through the mesh, the product becomes increasingly concealed, allowing the area to retain a natural grass appearance.

Installation Guidance

TR3 is quick and straightforward to install. Roll the mesh directly over the existing grass and secure it firmly using suitable Turf U-Pins. No soil removal or excavation is required.

Once installed, allow sufficient time for the grass to grow through and take hold of the mesh. This process is essential to achieving the required reinforcement. Premature trafficking can cause sinking, bumps or damage to the grass and mesh. It is recommended that the grass has been mown at least three times before the area is brought into use.
