Barrier H Herbicide
Herbicide for the Control of Common Ragwort. Barrier H will destroy ragwort at all stages of growth and any time of year. Larger plants, especially flowering plants will require more Barrier H and it is important to cover the whole of the plant. Barrier H should be applied to the whole of the Ragwort weed. After the application of Barrier H ragwort killer, we recommend that animals are kept away from treated pasture for 2 weeks, or until the ragwort is completely dead and any debris (with more mature plants) has been removed. Barrier H herbicide controls ragwort fast. A highly versatile organic weed killer Barrier H can also be used for controlling broad-leaved weeds. Barrier H is mainly used for the troublesome weed ragwort, which can kill horses and is often difficult to control by cultural methods alone. Barrier H is a weed killer herbicide that will destroy ragwort at all stages of growth and any time of year. Larger plants, especially flowering plants will require more Barrier H and it is important to cover the whole of the plant. 5L of Barrier H could be enough to treat up to 1600 tiny seedlings. Large flowering or large rosette stage Ragwort require much more product applied one container could be sufficient to cover up to 200 large plants. Ensure the whole plant is well wetted but not to the point of run off.

This environmentally friendly and effective all year round control for Ragwort, is sold as a ready to use spot spray in a 5L container. Within hours of application, small rosettes are dead - right through to the roots.
How long after Barrier H application before grazing:
Barrier H should be applied to the whole of the Ragwort weed. After the application of Barrier H ragwort killer, we recommend that animals are kept away from treated pasture for 2 weeks, or until the ragwort is completely dead and any debris (with more mature plants) has been removed. This is not because Barrier H is in any way harmful, but, because the dying ragwort becomes palatable and dangerous to animals. Remember the root is the last part of the plant to die, so be careful not to remove any dead tops too soon.
