Development of Green-tech’s new A1 site underway
It has been announced that grounds works and building has started at the new Green-tech site, to be known as Rabbit Hill, and a moving in date has been set.
10th October 2015 will see the Green-tech operation moving into their new site in North Yorkshire, just off the A1 between junctions 47 and 48.The build, estimated to be in the region of £2.6m has been awarded to leading North Yorkshire-based construction company Sutcliffe Construction.
Sutcliffe Construction is a principal contractor and expert steel frame fabricator.They are redeveloping the 10-acre brownfield site into a multi-use complex which involves demolishing existing buildings and constructing seven new buildings– a head-office for Green-tech, three warehouses, a single-storey office for rental and retail units in mixed styles and materials from single skin cladding to cedar cladding for the head office and traditional masonry for the offices. The project maximises use of the space for a business that houses a 6000 product lines including rural supplies, grounds maintenance equipment, soils, wildflower seeds and the latest additions which include a range of ecological products. Sutcliffe’s will hand over the head office to Green-tech in October and finish the complex in November.
